While it is more of a guestbook, featuring no authentication,
possum and I wrote http://hardison.net/hackblog/ in about an hour and a half.
We had no plan, and the network connection at the Globe sucked, but it was fun
anyway.
There was a fair number of people cheering us on - or ignoring us almost
completely. One of those things.
Possum wrote the posting script:
http://hardison.net/hackblog/post.cgi
and I wrote the view:
http://hardison.net/hackblog/view.cgi
We planned to incorporate those lowly perl-cgi's into a CGI::Application
framework, but didn't have time for such concerns.
I think with a better plan/design we'd have gotten more done.
( I also readily admit hackblog is full of bugs -- but that's hardly the point).
For reference, the first commit was:
Mon Jun 25 20:11:38 EDT 2007
and the last (during the non-meeting) was:
Mon Jun 25 21:51:04 EDT 2007
the source code is available via
% darcs get http://odin.hardison.net/darcs/hackblog
but I doubt anyone will want to see the horrible hackishness of it.
