>> Starts at the bottom of the email?!?! WHY
..................

And so begins the annual "Bottom Post vs. Top Post" argument, with a few
"in-line post" aficionados chipping in.

In a nutshell, the early days of on-line communications all new posts were
added at the top so those who read on a regular basis would easily see the
latest post. But those who were new to a thread would be forced to read
from the bottom up. This is the source of the never ending argument.

Bottom Posters say that you should only bottom post so the message can stand
alone and be easily read in a manor that most texts are written
(chronological order). Their point is well taken, IF you don't have access
to the entire thread.

Top Posters say you should not penalize those who actively participate in
the conversation by making them wade through all the proceeding text. If
you have access to the list, you can read all the messages in order. Also a
good point.

Some take the middle ground. I prefer to edit my messages with lines from
the previous message (prefixed with ">>") so all can understand what I'm
referring to.

We are unlikely to ever agree, so post in your preferred method and show
tolerance for the others. I do encourage formatting to may YOUR response
stand out.

WHY

Here's the fix... I changed this since I seemed in the minority on this
thread to reply at the bottom. Plus OUTLOOK and NOTES both reply at the top
and I look like a goof at the bottom.....

Tools :: Account Settings :: Composition & Addressing :: Then, Start My
Reply Above the Quote

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
