A bit off topic, but I found having a static IP at my house to be a
waste of money. For $15.99/mo
I have a Linux virtual private server from vpsland which has a static IP
and reverse DNS.

You get root access and can run whatever you want, plus faster network
speeds. You can choose CentOS, debian, fedora, gentoo, ubuntu as your
distro.
I use it to run my mail server and a webserver (lighttpd).
I'm not trying to plug them, I'm just a lot happier with that setup vs.
maintaining a box at my house.
