I assume you are running Debian stable?
You can enable and pin the packages for use from lenny, but that might
be difficult. I don't know the specifics but I know the debian
documentation online does go over this. Consider asking the folks on
irc://irc.freenode.net in the #debian channel, for live support with
that.
I've done what you want before with other packages, but I will warn you
it's a pain in the rear. Firefox will want all sorts of other packages
upgraded to 'testing' with it.
