Robin,

I have FIOS. The only problem I had is when the guy grading
the lane to put down ashphalt snagged the FIOS cable.
Verizon was supposed to come out within the day, but
somehow the order-taker screwed up the order and it went to
the wrong dept. The next day I called and they realized
the mistake and really turned to getting it going. The
poor chaps completed installing a new cable stayed on well
into the evening until they got it going.

The router they supply has 4 ethernet jacks and the wireless
puts out a signal that is around 12 db stronger than the
Linksys router I was using. Much better converage to some
rooms in the house.

The DVR started crashing/rebooting after two days and they
brought a new one without any fuss. Overall, the elephant
seemed to be trying to dance.

I've had no problems with linux, though they offer
absolutely zero assistance with anything but MS.
