Fix the typo: "cp/ usr/..." -> "cp /usr/..." . And you can do "sudo cp ..."
instead of "su" then "cp ..." (assuming sudo is set up that way). I
usually do "su -" instead of just "su" so it processes root's rc files
too. Makes sure PATH and all the aliases are the way root likes them.
