While those extra resolutions are indeed smaller and thus should work, note
that 1280x1024 is 5:4 and the others are 4:3, so switching to them will
involve a bit of shape distortion (around 6-7%). Resolutions that are the
same shape (960x760, 640x512) probably involve custom mode(line)s.
And if this file works without the metamodes stuff, that'd be great news for
me.
