This computer has Win 98 SE installed on a 2gb drive. It is a Pentium II with
128M ram. I have gotten the live disk Simply Mepis to run on it though slowly
because the ram is so small.
This is for a friend short on money.
I found a small 10GB WD drive for it. I want to put Simply Mepis on the new
drive. The problem is that I can not access the bios.
I did find the Manual for it on HP's website.
You press F10 on Startup and the Compaq Utilities in the hidden Diagnostics
Partition are supposed to start up and let you set the Bios.
I press F10 at the appropriate time and nothing happens.
The are supposed to be images of the 2 floppies to reinstall the Compaq
Utilities on the Compaq website. That doesn't work. HP does not appear
to be supplying those images.
Does anyone have a copy or know where I can get a copy of those floppies?
