A Friend of mine suggested I host a LAN party.
I have an 8-port gigabit mini-switch wired into a couple rooms and can
probably borrow another for a party.
My system is a 4 year old server-class Dell with 1 GB RAM, Detected
2392.235 MHz hyper-threaded P4/Xenon processor, and pathetic graphics.
Let me mention the pathetic graphics capabilities again.
I've also got an even older systen I could use, an 800 MHz with 256 MB Ram,
win98/linux/knoppix and an ATI RAGE 128 card.
Any suggestions what games I could host/play? My friends would
probabably bring Windows systems, so the games would have to be able to
run on everything and have available downloads.
Personally, I'd be happy with a group Nethack or Hunt The Wumpus, but
I'm not sure about everyone else.
