If you never use bit depths 1-16, you can remove them. Fewer things ->
fewer things to go wrong.
I switch to lower resolution (larger image) occasionally when it's the
easiest way to enlarge something (say, online comics). On my laptop I can't
do this -- no keypad so I can't hit the magic key. Can I change the key X
uses?
