Happened to me. I dislike the philosophy whereby you can add a random
person to the group, whether he likes it or not.

You could blacklist the sender in your spam-checker. Alternatively, there
used to be, when you went to the group's home page on yahoo.com, a button or
link marked "unsubscribe". That, if still there, sounds like it would do
the trick.
