Yes, I bought a Lenovo S10 and pulled the HD out and put a 500G hd
in it, then I put a USB stick full of Ubuntu 9.04 on it and squirted it full
of Ubuntu, at that point it became a REAL computer... With the MS
product it was SLOOOWWWW with Ubuntu I even have Compiz running
on it with a 3 faced object, I had the cube but found that at times I was
spinning through too many faces so I dropped it down to 3 as that was
all I needed for that netbook. The neat thing is it is FAST!!

I used unetbootin to build the USB stick using the windows version, once
built, I pulled out the HD and put the new big one in, and installed Ubuntu,
the whole thing took I think about 1 hour all told from the start of the down-
load to the final desktop startup on the new HD...
