In my experience, the job market is actually not all that bad...the trick is to /not/ say Linux IT like it is the only thing you know. You are an admin, and then pitch Linux as a low TCO alternative.

Of course, that's just in my smb market...big corps and web firms are different.

I'd be interested in hearing other's take on this job market in terms of Linux/Unix Admin positions.  Unfortunately, I know what the Microsoft Network Admin market (or lack of it) is like as well as the Novell (what is that?) Admin market.
