Yes, shiretoko is v3.5 so I guess you installed it into your home dir. So you could probobly just right click on the desktop and create launcher then make the command /home/pete/firefox-3.5 %u

Try opening the console.
There you should see a command prompt.
usually it ends in $
right there you put in "firefox" with no quotes, and hit TAB a few
times. what comes up?
Hi Seth,
pete@pete-desktop:~$ firefox
firefox firefox-3.5
pete@pete-desktop:~$ firefox
firefox firefox-3.5
pete@pete-desktop:~$ firefox
firefox firefox-3.5
pete@pete-desktop:~$ firefox
The program 'firefox' is currently not installed. You can install it by typing:
sudo apt-get install firefox-3.0
bash: firefox: command not found
pete@pete-desktop:~$ which firefox
pete@pete-desktop:~$ which firefox
firefox/ firefox-3.5
pete@pete-desktop:~$ which firefox
I don't see any path. If I type firefox-3.5 it asks if I want to see all 222 possibilities and when I answer y to that I am shown everything I ever viewed in the browser or everything in my home folder, not sure which.

OK, after entering past all that I get to the bottom

pete@pete-desktop:~$ firefox-3.5
*NOTICE* No previous firefox-3.5 profile found, we'll initialize a profile using a copy of your existing 'firefox' profile.
Transfering...

done.

Then it opens up a new copy of firefox called "Shiretoko". All the same stuff I had open in firefox, and firefox is still open. Yes, Mozilla has become M$.
