[SLUG] What's everyone using for Video on Linux

I'm trying to find a video player(s) for Linux that will play avi and
mov files. I have tried xmovie and though it is for the most part a good
player it still has problems playing avi's and some mov files. I also
tried Lamp but could never get it to install or work.

Any feedback here is welcome. It would be nice to have a video player
that would play avi and mov files.
