I would appreciate a little bit of additional help though.
My linux box is named lan_sys_opt.office_lan @ 192.168.1.1
My Win box is named lan_user.office_lan @192.168.1.2
I am able to ping my windows box from the linux box by:
ping 192.168.1.2 and by ping lan_user
I am only able to ping the linux box from the win box by:
ping 192.168.1.1
I am NOT able to ping the linux box by:
ping lan_sys_opt
Question do I or do I not have a problem with the Win box?
I think I do but after 2 weeks of looking I am not sure anymore.
The question is am I chasing ghosts?
