Now I AM bummed ... that is the same link I had already followed
to find the 144/144 for $139.95.
<sigh> ... Detroit.. My area of town was one of the first to get
telephone umpteen years ago ... and now appears right on
schedule to be one of the last to get SDSL.
Being first then means that our lines are now the oldest. The
only real advantage is that they are aboveground so they will be
cheaper to replace than a buried line when Ameritech finally
gets up off its thumbs.
