I know that wine will let you use pkzip (at least the version I tried) to create a self extracting zip for windows. It probably works with other compression programs as well, but if the thing is self extracting, it could be any compression format, right? Maybe there is someting else that will work under Linux, wine, or even the linux
dos emulator.
