If your hardware is listed as being linux compatable, I would suggest doing a text install, then attempting to use Xconfigurator post install. I find that RedHat doesn't tend to get the display right the first time around. I wouldn't give up on it just yet ;-) I have only ever seen one videocard that I couldn't make work with XFree86, and I even managed to get 640x480x256 out if it. Sometimes it just takes a while to get a good configuration file ;-)
