[SLUG] W3C and Patented Web Technology

I'm pretty beat, so I may have missed this issue coming up on this list.
But I'll raise it just in case. It seems that W3C is seriously
contemplating incorporating patented (= non-free) technology into the
Web. See the story at http://www.lwn.net . This could obviously have
serious repercussions for the Linux community. If you feel strongly
about this, you have until 11 October to spam^H^H^H^H inform the W3C of
your displeasure over this idea.
