Did you try "mount /dev/fd0"???
Also, unless you gave ownership or write access to /dev/fd0, or put
"user" in the /etc/fstab entry, only root can access it.
What I like to do (on workstations) is put "user" in /etc/fstab
under options, and "auto" under filesystem type in the floppy
entry. Then symlink to /a ("ln -s /mnt/floppy /a") so I can mount
with simply "mount /a" and umount with "umount /a".
