Same thing was said about various patches and backports from 2.3 to
2.2. At some point, some things go in, others don't.

SGI's XFS won't be in the kernel until 2.6 (or 3.0, whatever they
call it), but many of us think XFS on 2.4 is more stable than
Ext2/Ext3 on 2.4.
