[SLUG] HD problem

Can anyone help?

I have put together a new box with a 300 watt ps, Biostar M7VDK. I'm
using an Athlon 1.2 ghz w/ 266 FSB. 256Mb of PC-133 SDRAM, floppy, 56x
CDROM and a 3.5" floppy drive.

When I try to load a copy of SuSE 7.2 I get an error saying can't locate
DME. If I try windblows I get (what you would expect) unknown error and
a hex address space.

I have tried to solve this problem by changing the motherboard. This is
the third brand new MB. I have changed RAM three times too. I have
changed out the power supply, CPU, video card, eithernet card,
disconnected the zip drive and changed the hard drives. I have tried to
run three different hard drives with three different operating systems.
( Linux, OpenBSD and Windblows) The only original thing left on the box
with which I started is the metal case.

Is there something about athlons and hard drives of which I'm not
aware? I know this is ridiculous but it ain't funny.

Listed below are the specs for the drive upon which I am trying to
install the software. BTW, this drive will load an OS in other
machines.

Any help is appreciated.
