It's true you can go round to various computer centres and buy all the
software you want for a few dollars a CD.
However, the figures you have bandied about by the super rich of the painful
loses they experience must be taken with a bag of rock salt.
Consider. The income of people in Thailand is a fraction of what it is in
America yet Microsoft and others sell their lousy software here for far more
than it is sold for in America.
Most people couldn't even afford the real stuff. Would you pay 3 months
salary for an Office suite?
So only a few of the cheap CDs represent missed sales.
