Hello Michael

I use the "Starview" SV431. It's an "active" switch and works well for me.
You can find it on the internet for $105.00 + tax and All-in-One 6' cable
sets
for $12.00 each. I have used a number of these boxes across multiple mixed
software and hardware platforms and am so-far pleased with its preformance.
The only problem I have had so far, was with a VERY old P1-133 M.B. It did
not play well when I have to use Serial adapters for the mouse and the M.B.
only supported this mouse type. Though I could get the mouse working with
an adapter, and the mouse is serial/ps-2 compatable, It would not function
through the switch ?? (Fred is still scratching his head over this one.)
In the case of adapters for the keyboards dinn/ps-2, all worked without a
problem.

Fred

Subject: [SLUG] kvm switches

Since most of you have multiple cpu's running, does anyone have suggestions
on the best kvm switch to use?
And where would be the best price?

We use an electronic rather than a manual switch at work and it seems to
work just fine. I have heard manual swtiches are hard on monitors.
