Ed using windows is as expensive as you want. I don't pay a dollar for any
software. It's just to know where you can find what you need. Of course, you
can be legal. Look, this is what you have to do if you want to know if you have
a virus. Go to mcfee's website and get the dos version. Then, run it on a
different machine than yours. Of course, you don't have to buy anything. Be
conscious that you cannot create a bootdisk in a computer that is infected.
After you will have created the bootdisk run it on your machine. I am positive
it will tell you if you have a virus.

If you do this and you are still unable to find a virus. I think you probably
have a hardware's problem. It is another email to answer this new question. Try
to do what I am telling you and let me know if you are succesful.
