I'm sure this isn't much help, but if you can't get it to work, your
best bet is to mark it up to bad engineering. If your talking about the
drive I'm thinking of, there is little hope for it. One nice thing about
HP, some of their systems actually told you the drive would die soon,
and you should replace it.

NOTE: They make a fairly decent drink coaster (hot or cold) but that's
about all they are good for. Currently I'm using an old 200MB WD for a
coaster :)
