I suggest you try either the ltsp or k12os distributions. They are both
redhat based (k12 is an overlay on top of ltsp, actually). K12os is
approaching a very nice polish, install and run state for quite a bit of
functionality. Several of us on the list are using one or the other of
these solutions and will be glad to help you.
