[SLUG] RH 7.3 reboot problem

I rebooted my machine thie morning.....And got :

INIT: Id "x" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes...

The grapical interface isn't working....apparently I messed something up
(understatement of the year)..
I was trying to disable the firewall before turkey break...did not reboot
ntil today..

any suggestions....(besides....mock..ha..ha..mock..mock)....reinstall RH
