RE: [SLUG] Red Hat Network

I recently installed debian and libranet (debian w/ better installer) on my
dell laptop. in both cases I ran into problems w/ pcmcia.

debian: I had to setup pcmcia in the setup although it supposdly had been
setup already.
it worked but one of the first things I did was upgrade to a 2.4 kernel and
that broke everything again. never did get it to work.

Libranet: couldn't load my nic module at all. the only thing that works is
to recompile the kernel with my specific nic modules compiled in the kernel
not a smodules. I did this w/ everything releated to pcmcia and cardbus.

hope this helps.

Take care,

Here! Here!
I'm making Debian CD's now. I only hope I can get Debian to install on my
IBM 760 ThinkPad. The last time I tried to do that I ran into some problerms
with the PCMCIA card bus.
Anyone installed Debian on a thinkpad 760?
