You're talking about the Mac OS ROMs. They were pulled out of the hardware,
and stuck into OS software. All Beige G3's are Oldworld. Any Mac that has
pretty colors is NewWorld. There is no macbios. There is, however, Open
Firmware, which is the same idea, but way different implementation.
