               You make some excellent points. My view was from one of
frustration.
Getting caught in the decline of the middle class in this country is
unnerving, and
is an insult to all that came before us.

I do understand that the stockholders own a company. Help me understand how
Enron, Worldcom, Arthur Anderson etc can happen? The problem is that
executive contracts
are written so that there is no incentive to make a company profitable.
Even if a company
tanks, the executives walk away with millions. Executive compensation must
be tied
firmly to performance, and that still isn't happening at a majority of
companies.

And, you're right on job transition. We'd better start doing soon, or there
will be no
customers here. Move too many jobs offshore, and as unemployment rises,
sales here
will go down.
