This may relate to the "funny emails" someone else wrote about. The
Windows/Outlook people are slowing a lot of email servers to a crawl
with their latest worm. Our (OSDN) corporate servers are seeing a major
slowdown -- often hours -- because of all the damn bandwidth sucked up
by the Windows people and their worms, plus the endles autoresponder
messages their anti-virus programs bounce around that all include the
original worm file.

Our situation is especially bad since we have so many widely-published
email addresses and are in so many address books. Many online
journalists are reporting over 1000 daily sobigs -- and that's over and
above the typical 500+ daily spams and press releases Web-published
reporters get in the normal course of business.
