I use the Reiser file system also, I get:

root /tmp/.X11-unix> ls -l X0
srwxrwxrwx 1 root root 0 Sep 16 02:28 X0=

   I'm just a user, not more, I suspect the initial
"s" means something special I assume the = means
it also, I guess it is not a real file as the
/dev directory is not real.
   What is "can't seem to wipe"?
   Why are you messing with something the operating
system, file system or X system put there?
