Got me. I had this problem with 2.4.20 or 21, I think. When running
dhclient manually from the command line `dhclient eth0` , I would get an
error message something like, "dhclient needs CONFIG_NET_WHATEVER enabled
in order to something something." I ended up rebuilding my kernel with
the option(s) enabled, but I used pump as a quick fix in the meantime.
