I have run KDE2 on this laptop with Gentoo, and I don't recall having
any problems. It does run fluxbox and other spartan windows managers
quite well.

Maybe I just need a faster laptop? I have run Win2K on this laptop, it
perfomred nicely, so I'm pretty sure X windows and KDE should be OK....
