Would PartImage or the CD mastering images help here.
It seems to me that a client CD/deamon coupled with an
image file server + associated shell scripts could to
what you wish. I love the Linux philosophy... make it
simple.. one program/on task. I have need of
something very similar and would love to collaborate
on a project like this if it is of interest to anyone
else???

I think the question here is if the Linux imaging
utilities would work making an image of Mac and
Windows partitions. Don't know myself.. has anyone
done this before?
