I have compiled about 30 kernels since yesterday. (Heh, look
at my miserable uptime in my signature) Download the vanilla source from kernel.org and
compile. I have a few servers with the exact same processor and it compiles perfectly:
Linux alex.gatortech.com 2.4.24 #1 Tue Jan 6 15:35:53 EST 2004 i686 athlon i386
Contact me off list if you are really suffering with kernel compiling.
