Hi Ian !

  Just to let you know I found the answer in running a
script called dpkg-restore which downloaded the file
and reinstalled the package for me.. and configured
it.. also ran the update for you which was sorta
nice..

  THank you for your time in response.. the issue
appeared to be that the install of Distro ( Damn Small
Linux ) did not include a packages directory/list.. so
there was nothing there.. and it was just a bug that
needed to be fixed.. but there was nothing in the
documentation for the download about it.
