IIRC, I took at look at Quanta Gold about a year or so ago. It's not freeware
(but then, neither is DW), but it's pretty darned nice. Lots of things to go
clicky-clicky on.

Don't recall if it was wysiwyg or just had an easy tie in to a browser for
previewing ... the latter, I think.

Another potential candidate is CoffeeCup for Linux. Also, something I used
briefly during a trial period, thought well of but had just begun looking
around so I didn't settle on it. I liked it pretty good when I was a Windows
user.
