To be honest, I'd rather piss off everybody if it lowered spam. In the end
that's what would matter. It's not the same as selling popup blocker with
popup blockers because we are not selling anything. Our purpose is quite
different.

In reality it really does not matter how it's done (within legal limits) if
it gets the job done. Now it could be that it would be an exercise in
futility. But I'd rather do something than just sit around and moan about
it. I know I have for some time, but I could not come up with something
that seemed workable.

Not saying you are moaning, but as a way of approaching life. Doing nothing
is how we ended up with a corrupt government, and everything else that has
gone too far because we as a nation or a group were too lazy (or whatever)
to do something about it.

Paul here came up with an idea of doing something. He might not be into my
solution but he is trying to start something as a solution. You work it and
tune it until it's good. Even then you might end up needing to tune it.

Maybe my idea is a back-ass-ward way of doing it, maybe I end up hated by
everyone. Maybe I end up making a difference.

I'd mark the message going out clearly so as not to fool anyone. Include the
spam header for example. How it would be done is not clear to me, but I'm
sure something can be done to make it low profile for spam haters.
