No, nothing interesting in the ~/.dia directory. I feel like I should be
chasing the global font problem--making sure all programs have access to all
fonts as opposed to figuring-out Dia.

Nevertheless, should I try a strace or something? Which would show the font
attempts? I remember there being two types of traces but now I forget.
