After I gave up on trying to get the support girl to find the daily login I
got a supervisor who got very interested in my situation. However they don't
support Linux so we were SOL. Nor did they seem to have a daily login.

He did confirm that they use DHCP here on the east coast. Some uses PPPoE.
I managed to get hold of a lap top with XP and it chokes on it too so it looks
like a bad modem.

I was told they have a overnight turn around on a bad modem so we'll see.
