See but the only time that the usb connection is really completed
(completes the circut in a matter of fact) is when you pressed the
hot sync button. as that visor then goes int owhat is known is
bootlink mode informantion is transffered the end. as for keeping it
long I dont know. Personally if there was a way I would buy a garmin
gps card fro mine and beable to some how leave it hooked up to the
cradle by means o f super glue and use it for war driving.
