First off, you _can_ use those on a Sun system.

Secondly, sounds like personal preference to me. You seemingly make the
case that Sun does not offer equivalents.

Lastly, SUN _does_ support USB now.

You assume SUN does not provide such? Poor assumption.

Sun is _the_ company that has provided the code and support in GNOME for
extra accessibility. They won the Hellen Keller award for it.

Maybe you've heard of Looking Glass? It's not about 3D, but next
generation _input_ as well as output.
