Actually, the area where I've found this not to be true is laptops.
Recently, apple laptops have come in line with x86 and amd64 laptops
in terms of price/perf. Or maybe it's that the rest of the laptop
world has shifted its prices toward apple's, who knows. But laptops
have never really been commodity hardware the way PCs have.
