OTOH, it might be a hallmark of *good* management to know when to fold
'em. IBM hasn't been "about" PCs for quite some time - maybe they've
just stopped kidding themselves.

Definitely it's worth wondering; we'll find out soon enough.

I find the tone of this thread to be quite a bit xenophobic, however -
who gives a shit where the company is that acquired IBM's PC division?
 I can think of quite a few American companies that I would be MUCH
more upset about.

It's amusing that people like to claim China as a big Linux supporter
(go Red Flag Linux!) but at the same time bitch and moan when
something like this happens.
