1) I was under the impression that neither mplayer nor xine require
libdvdcss or anything similar anymore (I know for a fact mplayer
doesn't, and I also know that mplayer/xine share a lot of code).
2) I have a pentium pro 200 box that would play dvds without a decoder
card, using mplayer.
