Hi Mike!
Interesting tip, thanks. Oh . . . Look at all that!

There is a .mozilla in there. So if I knew how I could copy that to a
CDR and have my email backed up?
Although the CD writing program K3b is not on that file list, it is on
the MEPIS K menu. K3b doesn't see this .mozilla directory, though. In
fact, K3b won't even start today, oh, there it goes - after I gave up on
it. It doesn't seem to have the option of showing hidden files. There is
nothing in the docs about hidden files. The MEPIS web site does not seem
to address this hidden files issue, or at least nothing comes up in the
search. I read 13 pages of archives, and a search on "backup" brought me
to a post that indicated that at least one other user was not able to
back up certain files either. Something mentioned there "Disk Archive",
a small backup utility for Linux, <http://dar.linux.free.fr/> I
downloaded that but I can't figure it out. Looks interesting, though.
Looking around in Kpackage it shows something called cdrecord that must
be on the system somewhere because it gives the option to uninstall it.
Can't find cdrecord with a find files search though. I went from dos 3.3
to dos 5 so I have no personal experience, but this reminds me very much
of the horror stories I heard about dos 4.
Regards,
Pete
