[SLUG] File names with spaces irritant

Folks,
I get a lot of files that have spaces in the name, on the company e-mail system.
When I try to open them (with Firefox) it only sees the first
characters prior to the
space and then only gives me the option to save to disk.

I know of course that *nix OS in general do not like spaces in the file names
unless you quote the file name first.

Is this just something that I have to put up with or is there
something I need to
change somewhere in order to be able to get it to see the whole file, as a
example I got some .jpg files with spaces in the names, I had to save the
files and then go in and look at them after re-naming them to get rid of the
spaces.
